Go to pingable.me and sign in (Google or email — free).

Create a QR code and choose how people can contact you (anonymous chat, WhatsApp, email, or any link).

On the QR code page, select Printable Luggage Tag from the download dropdown, then tap Download.

Print and assemble

Print the downloaded image on thick card stock (200gsm or heavier). Standard paper works in a pinch but won't last.

Cut around the tag outline. The tag is credit-card sized (85.6 × 54mm) for easy trimming.

Laminate it for weather protection. A self-seal laminating pouch (no machine needed) works perfectly and costs pennies.

Punch a hole at the top and thread a luggage strap, keyring, or cable tie through it. Attach to your bag.

Tips for best results

  • Use the thickest card stock your printer can handle — 200gsm or above gives the best durability.
  • Laminating makes the tag waterproof and far more durable. Self-seal pouches are cheap and need no machine.
  • Print at "actual size" or "100%" — don't let your printer scale it to fit the page.
  • Test the QR code after printing. Point your phone camera at it to make sure it scans cleanly.
  • Make a spare — print two while you're at it, one for your bag and one for your backpack.
